Tufuantsi Daniel is a Senior Investment Officer at AFIG Funds. In his current role, he is responsible for pipeline evaluation, deal execution and portfolio monitoring. He performs extensive financial and business due diligence, and develops comprehensive valuation and investment return models. He also oversees critical aspects of investor reporting and portfolio management including portfolio valuation and performance analysis.
Prior to joining AFIG funds, Tufuantsi was based in Lagos, Nigeria, where he served as an Equity Research Associate at Oceanic Capital, the investment banking subsidiary of Oceanic Bank International, Plc. During his tenure at Oceanic, he initiated coverage of several listed Nigerian companies, and was actively involved in the direction of the firm’s sell-side research efforts. Tufuantsi began his career on Wall Street as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Global Industrial & Services Group of Credit Suisse in New York. In this role, he was involved in several M&A and financing transactions on behalf of the firm’s clients across a range of industries. He graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2006 with a B.S. in Mathematics from Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He is a citizen of Ghana.
