Kelechi Okoro is an Investment Officer at AFIG Funds. In his current role, he is responsible for deal sourcing, modeling, deal execution and portfolio monitoring. He develops comprehensive valuation and investment return models. He is also responsible for developing professional networks in priority regions and the rest of Africa. He is involved in the training and supervision of the Investment Assistants through the AFIG Funds Internship Program.
Prior to joining AFIG Funds, Kelechi was an Associate in Argentil Capital Partners where he originated and executed infrastructure transactions, particularly gas and power, including the privatization of a 760 MW hydropower plant, the asset sale of a 253 MW thermal plant, and the development of a $2 billion greenfield gas processing plant. Prior to Argentil, he was an Analyst in the Infrastructure and Natural Resources Group of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Nigeria, where he appraised opportunities in Transport, Energy and Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT). He was also instrumental to the development of the World Bank Group’s Nigeria Energy Business Plan. Before IFC, Kelechi was an Equities Research Analyst at ARM Investment Managers, with primary responsibility for the Consumer and Conglomerates sector, and secondary coverage of the fixed income and money markets.
Kelechi holds an MBA from Lagos Business School, Nigeria and a B.Sc. in Human Physiology from the University of Ibadan. He is a citizen of Nigeria.
